Aquaculture Diversification – Promoting efficient and sustainable production.

The Aquaculture Innovation Club, Kran and Nuproxa will highlight their innovations and sustainable approaches at the event, which will bring together more than 40 speakers from 18 countries.

Another company dedicated to providing technological solutions for the aquaculture industry is KRAN. AQUA magazine spoke with Martín Castro, the company’s commercial director, and Mauricio Bueno, manager of the Aquaculture Division.
“At Kran, we work to improve water quality parameters, and from there, we seek to validate our solutions against the challenges imposed by the industry. Particularly for FAN-type events, we do not have any developments,” says
Martin Castro.

Mauricio Bueno comments that they have been working and monitoring the seabed for six years, reviewing how their nanobubble technology manages to catalyze decomposition processes, rapidly reestablishing historically anaerobic sectors.
“Both the impact and the monitoring are concrete contributions to the industry’s production cycle, as well as to its focus on moving toward sustainable development. This has allowed us to continue expanding our service to more customers, with active operations in all three regions,” he adds.

The manager adds that, from freshwater production, they are helping to improve water quality through their technology, from tributary to tributary. “This is done through constant monitoring that is integrated into our solutions, such as telemetry, which allows us to keep historical records and aids in decision-making.”

For his part, Martin Castro explains that as members of SalmonChile, “our commitment will continue to be to seek solutions to the industry’s production challenges.”

He adds that over the years, they have been able to learn about the various regulatory and environmental issues that affect producers, “which has allowed us to validate with them different applications that are now installed in fish farms, the sea, processing plants, and water treatment plants.”

“This is how we hope to continue, contributing to the introduction of new technological solutions that will specifically enable us to reduce chemical consumption, reduce impact on the seabed, reuse wastewater, and reach our destination with higher quality fresh produce,” he concludes.
