The two subsidiaries of Inversiones DLC join the salmon farming guild, who will contribute with solutions in sustainability, environmental management, innovation and packaging.
Inversiones DLC, together with its subsidiaries Kran and DLC, are the first companies to join the Chilean Salmon Industry Association A.G. (SalmonChile) and the network of more than 50 companies it brings together, sharing their experience and innovation and feeding off each other’s work.
“We are very happy and honored that Inversiones DLC has wanted to belong to SalmonChile. We are sure that the experience they have will help us to continue advancing on the path of sustainability and linkage that we have been undertaking for years,” said the president of SalmonChile, Arturo Clément.
Kran is a company that was born in Puerto Montt (Los Lagos region) and has been dedicated to the development, manufacture and application of nanobubbles in aquaculture and in different areas. This company was born in response to the dream of its founder to develop friendly and sustainable solutions with nature, such as remediation of the seabed, improving the quality of the raw material and the useful life of the finished product, among others.
“Kran has managed to position itself as an international benchmark in the field of nanobubbles, being the only private company to exhibit at the world nanobubble forum held on the occasion of APEC in Tokyo (Japan). Today they have offices in Puerto Montt, Santiago and Madrid (Spain) and clients in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Spain, Brazil, Honduras and Guatemala,” said SalmonChile.
On the other hand, DLC was born more than ten years ago and is currently a national leader in the production of cooling gel packs, with facilities that allow it to manufacture more than four million units per month. “It has been characterized by its constant development and innovation, which led it to patent the world’s first EcoGel®, which is a 100% biodegradable and compostable product,” added the salmon farmers’ union.
For the partner and founder of both companies, Jaime de la Cruz, being part of SalmonChile is the beginning of a new stage for the company, which he hopes to contribute to the sustainable development of the industry over time. “For Inversiones DLC it is very significant to be able to be part of the guild, and support in everything we can through our experience in sustainable solutions, which will be a great contribution,” said the executive, assuring that “we have worked hand in hand with the salmon farming industry in all these years.”
