ALGAE CONTROL WITH NANOBUBBLES
The increase in temperatures to extreme levels has brought important consequences, for example, the increase and prolongation of the presence of unwanted organisms in bodies of water.
By treating water with ozone nanobubbles in water with the presence of algae, we have seen that it is possible to control algae blooms in an irrigation dam.

Methodology
A trial was carried out to control the algae bloom in an irrigation dam through ozone nanobubbles, these were injected directly into the dam through a diffuser to achieve a better distribution and control of the problem.
Results
The results were observed after 24 – 48 hours and the use of algaecide was completely eliminated, in addition to generating various operational benefits.
How nanobubbles work
- Stability: They remain in the liquid environment for a longer period of time than conventional bubbles. In this way, the nanobubbles maintain the aerobic environment and good water quality for longer.
- Energy Release: This release of energy caused by the implosion of the nanobubble generates free radicals that eliminate pathogens and algae, and prevents their proliferation , improving the water quality of the dam, lagoon or pond.
- Cubic Capacity: Nanobubbles allow high levels of oxygen available in the medium to be reached thanks to their mass transfer property associated with their size and contact surface, this allows them to maintain a balance in the biota and microbiota so that they are not colonized by algae.
