At a breakfast held at the Britannia Hotel in the city of Trondheim, representatives of the companies were able to have moments of interaction with relevant players in the industry.

During the morning of the second day of AquaNor 2023, representatives from companies such as Kran, Bioelements, Sorken, VeHice, Keepex & Lythium, Adclean, Endeavor, Fishcare and Oceancare, Greenaqua, Aquabench, ITG and Inchalam; met at a breakfast organized by the General Directorate of Export Promotion of Chile, ProChile, which was held at the Brittania Hotel in the city of Trondheim, Norway.

Marcela González, ProChile’s National Coordinator of Aquaculture Suppliers, explained that “we are promoting the export of suppliers to consolidated sectors of the Chilean industry. In the case of aquaculture, the rich experience gained over 40 years in the Los Lagos region in the farming of salmon and mussels allows us to offer services today in a country that is a world leader in this field, such as Norway. This is how we are together with a trade mission of companies providing aquaculture solutions present at the AquaNor fair, with technical visits and also networking“.

“This is an unbeatable instance, because the AquaNor 2023 fair brings together the main players in the global ecosystem of aquaculture suppliers, where the presence of countries such as Scotland, Denmark and the host Norway stand out. A total of 700 companies from 82 countries are present and it is expected to receive 25,000 visitors,” he added.

The official also said that “as a result of this activity, we hope that Chilean companies will be able to expand their network of business contacts. We are convinced that our connection efforts will turn into more and better business for our companies in the national aquaculture supplier ecosystem.”

This group joins others led by Endeavor and Incubatec UFRO; Los Lagos region, business incubator of the University of La Frontera, who have attended important technical talks and visits to potential customers in the Norwegian market.

“We are very satisfied with the technical visits carried out, where we were able to learn about the different innovations that are carried out in Norway, leveraged by the Norwegian government, collaborative entities and technological HUBs,” explained Mario Núñez, Zonal Coordinator of Incubatec UFRO, headquarters in the Los Lagos region; adding that “this has made it possible for companies to prospect new technologies.” Chilean startups“.
